Major Fundraiser Friday At Unique West Hartford Park
Westmoor Park's 'Feast on the Farm' is this Friday, Sept. 27..

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A major fundraiser will take place this Friday to support one of the area's more unique municipal parks, Westmoor Park in West Hartford.
Located at 119 Flagg Road, West Hartford, Westmoor is, according to the West Hartford Department of Leisure Services, a "self-funded environmental education center."
On Friday, Sept. 27, the department is hosting one of the park's biggest fund-raisers, "Feast on the Farm" from 6 to 9 p.m.

There, guests will "dine under the stars" amid the park's lush wildflower meadows and tallgrass prairies.
Dinner enrollment ended Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Spread out over 162 acres, Westmoor is considered a "demonstration farm," featuring wildflower meadows, perennial gardens, woodland trails, and ponds are open to the public daily.
"We also offer a wide variety of educational farm and nature programing for folks of all ages," wrote the town's leisure services department.
Westmoor Park is an environmental, agricultural and horticultural education center "dedicated to generating awareness and appreciation for the natural world," wrote the town, adding that, last year, "it achieved accreditation as a Level I Arboretum."
