Man Accused of Crashing Stolen Vehicle While Under the Influence in West Hartford
The man fled the scene and was tracked down by a K-9, according to police.
West Hartford police arrested a Bloomfield man early Sunday morning after he allegedly crashed a stolen vehicle while operating under the influence and fled the scene.
Police said Gabino Gomez, 26, fled the scene after crashing the vehicle and was later apprehended by a K-9 and taken into custody. The vehicle was determined to be stolen and Gomez was found to be in possession of fake identity documents, according to police.
Gomez was charged on March 15 with two counts of second-degree forgery and one count each of third-degree larceny, second-degree criminal trover, evading responsibility, failure to drive right, operating a motor vehicle without a license, operating under the influence and interfering with an officer.

He was held on a $75,000 bond and is due in court on March 26.
