Man Hits House, Charged With OUI: West Hartford Police

Police said a man has been charged with operating under the influence after allegedly crashing a car into a West Hartford house.

WEST HARTFORD, CT - Police said a man has been charged with operating under the influence after allegedly crashing a car into a West Hartford house, NBC Connecticut reported. The incident occurred Wednesday morning on Miles Standish Drive, according to police.

Police said Alex Steiner, 21, was charged in the incident after the homeowner heard a loud noise and found his house had been hit, according to NBC Connecticut. The suspect failed subsequent field sobriety tests, police said.

Police said no one was hurt as a result of the incident, NBC Connecticut reported. The house suffered structural damage to the exterior and some interior damage from the crash, police said.
