Man Struck By Vehicle After Shopping In West Hartford
Police said the man was struck while he was getting into his vehicle, which was parked a 'good distance' from a snowbank on Monday.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — A man was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle while he was getting into his vehicle Monday afternoon in West Hartford, according to police. The man suffered minor injuries (contusions) and was taken to the hospital via ambulance, police said.
The accident occurred at about 1:15 p.m. on March 4 at 976 Farmington Ave. The man had parked a “good distance” from a snowbank on the north side of the street and was entering the driver side of his vehicle after returning from shopping, according to police.
As the man was opening his door, he was struck by the passenger mirror of a vehicle that was traveling westbound, police said.
