Mario Bros. Movie Showing Slated In West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Folks should keep their fingers crossed for good weather Friday night, with a local library expected to show one of the year's hottest movies outdoors and for free.

The West Hartford Public Library's Faxon Library site, 1073 New Britain Ave., is hosting a special, outdoor showing of the blockbuster "The Super Mario Brothers Movie," which is based on the beloved and popular Nintendo video game.

The event actually starts at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, with a fire truck from the West Hartford Fire Department, a meet-and-greet with West Hartford Community Police Officers and a health information booth staffed by the West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District.

Then, the movie begins at 8 p.m. and free popcorn is available.

Attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chairs.

Should it rain, the movie will be on Saturday, Aug. 26.
