More than $280 Million Budget Proposed for West Hartford

The budget proposal includes a property tax increase, as well as a decrease in the motor vehicle mill rate.

WEST HARTFORD, CT - Town Manager Ron Van Winkle pitched a budget of $287.3 million during a presentation Wednesday night, according to the Hartford Courant.

That figure represents a $19 million, or 7.1 percent, increase over the current $268.3 million budget, according to the Hartford Courant. The budget proposal includes a property tax increase, as well as a decrease in the motor vehicle mill rate.
