Mother Left 10-Month-Old Alone in Car While She Shopped: West Hartford Police
Police said the mother shopped for a phone cover at Staples while her son was alone in the car.

West Hartford police have charged a mother with leaving her 10-month-old son alone in a vehicle while she shopped at Staples.
Franswa Anique Noland, 21, of 58 Lenox Street in Hartford, was arrested July 17 on charges of leaving child unattended in a public place and injury/risk/impairing morals. She was held in lieu of a $10,000 surety bond.
Police arrested Noland at about 8:30 p.m. last Friday. The 10-month-old boy was left in the vehicle, which was off, with the windows rolled up while Noland shopped at Staples for a phone cover, according to police.

Noland also had two outstanding warrants and was additionally charged with two counts of second-degree failure to appear.
She is due in court on July 30.
