Motorcycle, Vehicle Collide In West Hartford: Police

The West Hartford PD is asking for the public's help in investigating the accident on Wednesday night.

WEST HARTFORD, CRT — A motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital Wednesday night after a collision with a passenger vehicle in West Hartford.

According to the West Hartford Police Department, the accident happened shortly before 8:25 p.m., when police and the West Hartford Fire Department were called to the area of 920 New Britain Ave. (Route 529) for a report of a motor vehicle collision.

Once police arrived, they determined the crash involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.

Police said the adult operator of the motorcycle had apparent injuries and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.

The collision is being investigated by the West Hartford Police Department Traffic Crash
Reconstruction Team.

New Britain Avenue was closed between Meriline Avenue and Hollywood Avenue for several hours, but it is now open.
