National Retailer Opening New Store In West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT — National retailer Cost Plus World Market is celebrating the grand-opening of its second Connecticut location Thursday in West Hartford, according to HartfordBusiness.com. Cost Plus World Market, which is located at 1431 New Britain Avenue in the Corbin’s Corner retail center, will hold a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, with the store opening immediately after the ceremony.
The grand-opening celebration will last through the weekend with “free giveaways, entertainment and great deals on artisan furniture, unique decor, gifts and food from around the world,” according to the Cost Plus World Market website.
The following giveaways will be part of the celebration, from Thursday, Nov. 1 to Sunday, Nov. 4: $10 Cost Plus World Market gift cards for the first 100 customers in the door; Free tote bags for the first 100 customers in the door each day; Spend $40 and get 2 Free Movie Certificates, while supplies last and limited to the first 250 customers each day.

There will also be daily raffle drawings. Prizes include two $250 Cost Plus World Market gift cards each day.
The first Cost Plus World Market store opened in 1958 at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco and there are now nearly 260 stores nationwide.
