Nationally Acclaimed Author To Join WeHa Library Next Week

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Public Library next week is hosting a well-known author who has been on 'Good Morning America' and been recognized by President Barack Obama.

The library on Tuesday, April 4, will host author David Ambroz in a virtual program the local community can sign up for. The event is at 6:30 p.m.

Ambroz, who hails from Los Angeles, Calif., will discuss his latest work, a memoir entitled "A Place Called Home."

According to the library, "A Place Called Home" is a "gut-wrenching personal account of Ambroz’s early life of poverty, homelessness and foster care."

"The book is also an against-all-odds success story," wrote the library. "Today, David Ambroz is a national poverty and child welfare expert and advocate. "

David was recently featured on Good Morning America and was recognized by President Obama as an American Champion of Change.
