Nearly a Thousand Gather at UConn Vigil for West Hartford Native Killed by Fire Vehicle

The vigil was attended by nearly one thousand people, who lit candles in Jeffny Pally's honor.

WEST HARTFORD, CT – A vigil was held Tuesday at the Storrs campus of the University of Connecticut to honor the life and mourn the loss of 19-year old Jeffny Pally, NBC Connecticut reported.

West Hartford native Pally was killed over the weekend after being struck by a fire vehicle when crews responded to a call early Sunday morning, NBC Connecticut reported. She died from blunt force trauma to her head and torso.

The vigil was attended by nearly one thousand people, who lit candles in her honor, according to NBC Connecticut. She was the youngest of three siblings and leaves behind a brother and sister.
