New Amuseument Center/Restaurant Seeks 100 Workers Ahead Of West Hartford Opening

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The owners of a major new enterprise in West Hartford plan to hire about 100 employees as the interactive gaming and dining company prepares to open a massive new entertainment venue later this fall.

Level99 announced Thursday it will hold four consecutive weeks of in-person job fairs beginning Sept. 28 for its new location at The Corbin Collection, 1427 New Britain Ave. in Corbin's Corner, the site of the former Sears store there.

The venue will occupy about 43,000 square feet on the second floor and accommodate as many as 600 players in its gaming arena, according to Level99.

The West Hartford location will feature more than 50 physical and mental mini-games designed for teams of two to six players.

Those will include 44 challenge rooms and six player-vs.-player duels developed by the company's in-house game design studio.

The project will also include Two Roads Kitchen and Tap, a 250-seat restaurant and bar developed in partnership with Connecticut-based Two Roads Brewing. The menu is expected to include Detroit-style pizza, wagyu burgers, cocktails and craft beer.

Level99 said it is hiring for approximately 100 positions spanning its entertainment operations and food and beverage businesses.

The job fairs will be held at the former Saks OFF 5th space at 1437 New Britain Ave., next to World Market.

The first hiring event will run Monday through Friday, Sept. 28-Oct. 2. Subsequent sessions will run Monday through Saturday from Oct. 5-10, Oct. 12-17, and Oct. 19-24.

The hiring center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on each of those days.

Job listings and additional information about the hiring events are scheduled to become available Friday, Sept. 18, on Level99's website and Indeed.

The West Hartford venue will also incorporate original artwork, including locally created pieces containing hidden symbols that visitors can search for as part of Level99's "Hunt Art" game.

Founded by CEO Matt DuPlessie, Level99 operates locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Florida. The company is backed by Act III Holdings, an investment firm led by Panera Bread founder Ron Shaich. Additional Level99 locations are planned for New Jersey, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania in 2027.
