According to the announcement, Spitz West Hartford will feature a menu of Mediterranean and Greek dishes alongside American classics.

The restaurant is named after the vertical broiling method for proteins and offers wraps, salads, gyros, wings, and fries.

The meat served at Spitz is halal certified.

The restaurant also plans to offer a vegan menu, gluten-free options, a children’s menu and Paleo and Keto selections.

A dog-friendly patio is planned, and the bar will feature a rotating selection of craft beer, wine, and sangria.

Local entrepreneurs are working to open the franchise. An opening date has not yet been announced, but the restaurant is expected to debut later this spring.
