No Contest Plea in West Hartford Hookah Lounge Assault Case
In the spring a husband and wife were charged in an assault that occurred at their hookah lounge in West Hartford.

George Ayoub, 47, almost died when he and his wife, Najeh Frihi, 24, engaged in a sword fight at their West Hartford hookah lounge this spring.
Ayoub pleaded no contest Monday to second-degree assault charges stemming from the incident with his wife, the Hartford Courant reports.
In court it was revealed Ayoub almost died from his wounds and he suffered massive lacerations to his stomach, the Courant reports, while Frihi suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Ayoub received a five-year suspended prison sentence which includes a three year period of probation. Frihi is scheduled to appear in Superior Court, Hartford on August 10.
The arrests stem from a domestic violence incident at the Arabian Nights hookah lounge on April 22, West Hartford police said at the time.

Police received a 911 call around 3 a.m. from Ayoub reporting his wife had stabbed him.
Police recovered a large sword at the scene.
