Northwest Catholic Holds Bi-Annual Blood Drive
Last year Northwest Catholic collected 107 units of blood in total at its November and March drives.

On March 7 Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford held its bi-annual blood drive. The Red Cross collected close to 63 units of blood at the event — not shabby for a school with only a limited number of 18 year olds eligible to donate.
With 63 students registered to donate blood on Tuesday morning, Dean of Students and advisor to the event, Jennifer Montoney, reminded the Northwest Catholic community, “That is a possible 189 lives saved.”

Under Mrs. Montoney’s direction, a group of student volunteers helped facilitate the drive. The chairperson was Claire Nicholas, a senior from Avon, who mentored junior Dylan Rispoli from Windsor. Dylan will lead the charge next year.
