Northwest Catholic Senior Named National Merit Finalist

Benjamin Lee was confirmed this week as a Finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Northwest Catholic senior Benjamin Lee of Avon was confirmed this week as a Finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Lee will now be considered for any portion of the $31 million National Merit Scholarship dollars being offered in 2020.

Lee is vying to be among the 7,500 Merit Scholarship winners from the group of 15,000 in contention for the scholarship monies. Over 1.6 million students entered the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2018 PSAT.

This spring the National Merit Scholarship Program will announce which college-bound students will receive a portion of its $31 million scholarship fund, money provided by hundreds of businesses and universities who share NMSC’s goals of recognizing the nation’s most academically accomplished.
