Nutmeg Celebrates New West Hartford Location with Giveaway to Local School
The school with the most votes at the end of the voting period will win $5,000 for the project of their choosing.

WEST HARTFORD, CT- Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union is celebrating the Grandopening of its newest location in West Hartford Center, 973 Farmington Avenue.
As part of the opening, Nutmeg will be donating $5,000 to one of West Hartford’s sixteen public schools.
Each of these schools has been preregistered online at www.Nutmeggrandopening.com, where voting will be held. The school with the most votes at the end of the voting period will win $5,000 for the project of their choosing.

“The town of West Hartford has strong community ties,” Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union President and CEO John Holt said in a release, “As we prepared to open, we received such a warm welcome from the town that we want to show our thanks by giving back.”
Voting will begin on Thursday, January 12 and end Thursday, February 16 at 12 p.m. Voting is open to the general public and votes can be cast once per day.

Family, friends and community members are all encouraged to go online and support their local school. The winning school will be announced on Friday, February 17.
The ribbon cutting celebration for this location is planned for Wednesday, January 18. This branch is the first of its kind for the credit union as it will have a primary focus on educating members on how to bank with technology and the ease of use for its online e-Services.
