Anne loved to sing and did so well into her 80s. Anne and her husband of 67 years, Benjamin T. Taylor, participated in the Simsbury Light Opera and, in their later years, belonged to musical organizations at their places of residence. Anne’s social passion was Women’s Rights. She was a member of Planned Parenthood, creating and publishing seminal pamphlets such as “24 Hour Help: Emergency Resources for Connecticut Women” in the 1960’s. She received a special commendation in 1978 from The Commission on the Status of Women for five years of exemplary service. In 1983, Planned Parenthood presented her with the Volunteer of the Year Award.
