Gerald David Bullock, 88, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Doris (Costigan) Bullock, died peacefully on January 26, 2018. Jerry was born on October 31, 1929 in Bristol, CT to the late Marion (Ingraham) and C. Clifford Bullock. He often reminisced about a very happy childhood with his family in Bristol, and spoke proudly of his early school years when he was both class vice-president and president, and of how he had achieved the designation of Eagle Scout.

After high school, he attended Springfield College for 2 years before enlisting in the U.S. Navy, after which he enrolled and graduated from Bates College. He met and married his first wife Lois (Perry) Bullock in 1955. They eventually moved to Vernon where they spent many happy years raising their family. He was employed by The Hartford Insurance Group for over 30 years.

He was a member of several organizations including the Bristol Jaycees, the Masonic Friendship-Tuscan Lodge of Manchester, the First Congregational Church of Vernon, the Wintonbury Flying Club, and Wampanoag Country Club.

What he loved more than anything was spending time with his family, which includes his children Jill McAllister and her husband Bill, Clifford Bullock and his wife Nancy, Brenda Gothers and her husband David, Dorie's children Deirdre Armon, and Jay Dillon and his wife Vyera.
