Obituary: Paul T. ‘Pa’ Glover Sr., 86, of West Hartford

Paul T. Glover Sr.,"Pa", 86, of West Hartford, beloved husband of the late Sylvia (Bonney) Glover passed away of cancer on Tuesday, (March 13), morning at his West Hartford home, surrounded by his family. Born in Oneida, NY, the son of the late Bernadette and Floyd Glover, he was a resident of West Hartford for many years. He was a graduate of the University of Hartford, earning a Master’s Degree in Engineering. He was employed at Goodrich - Chandler Evans as vice president for marketing and business development, prior to his retirement.

Paul was very active in the West Hartford Girls Soccer League. He was instrumental in acquiring 8 acres of property on South Quaker Lane in West Hartford to be used as soccer fields, now known as "Glover Soccer Complex." He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Corps and fought in Korea.

Paul is survived by a son, Paul Glover, Jr. of West Hartford; his two daughters, Karen Archer, and husband Joe of South Windsor, Kimberly Glover- Polo, and her husband Robert, of West Hartford and predeceased by a daughter, Renee Ellison; ten cherished grandchildren, Jesse Ellison, Melanie Larsen, Danny Paul Glover, Amber Polo, Lauren Bent, Nicholas Polo, Megan Polo, Ryan Glover, Zachary Polo and Jordan Archer; four great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Ysa, Jace and Cameron. Paul is also survived by his siblings, Gloria McGregor, Connie MacMullin, Bernadette "Snookie" Peters, Allen Glover, Peter Glover and Raymond Terry Glover and special family members, Wendy, Dan and Elena Rezende. Paul was predeceased by two sisters, Imogene McRoberts and Dolores Gaynor.
