Parenting with Superpowers!
All of us parents have superpowers. Learn here what your superpower is and how to use to help your kids find their superpowers.
Parents, wouldn’t it be great if we all had Superpowers! Think of how awesome it would be. We’d never be late again picking our kids up. If we found ourselves running behind schedule, we could just throw on our Superhero flying cape and use our Superpower of flying to get there on time and keep our kid’s world from falling apart.
In addition, if we had the Superpowers of vision and hearing, we could always see and hear what our kids were up to. Imagine how much trouble we could keep them out of and how many bad guys we could keep them away from! Heck, we could even correct any lousy advice that their friends give them in real-time too, before they went and did anything stupid because their friend told them to.
Now, most of us regular folks who don’t have these Superpowers of flying and seeing and hearing everything. I know I don’t. However, sometimes I suspect my wife has some of these Superpowers. She sees and hears everything that goes on in our house. For the others out there like me who don’t, well, there is still hope for us. That’s right. I have a secret to tell you. Come a little closer. Are you ready? Good. Here it goes. Every one of us can still practice the Superpower of Patience…

You heard me right. Patience really is a Superpower! Patience is a Superpower because it can transform both our children and us into all that we can be. Patience allows us to live up to our true and fullest potential. Patience makes us look really smart and powerful too! Furthermore, practicing patience allows our kids to make the mistakes that they are SUPPOSED to make; and that’s how they are going to learn to become super!
Now, as my Granddaddy always said, “Go learn, lead, and lay the way to a better world for all of us.” Patience really is one of the Superpowers because it’s transformational. And once again, parents, thanks in advance for all that you do, and all that you will do…
