Parents Work Together!
We all know parenting isn't easy. What to learn why we should stick together, as well as, better ways to work together for our kids' sake?
Hey parents, how are you? Are you tired? Stressed? Frustrated? Angry? I hear you, and I want you to know those feelings are quite normal for us parents. However, even though those feelings are reasonable, they really aren't healthy for us, and our relationship with our significant other. So, with that said, we need to find a way to get beyond those kinds of negative and overwhelmed feelings. And remember that our partner and we are on the same team in this crazy and wild journey called parenthood.
I wasn't born yesterday. I know it's tough to be a parent, and it's tough to always work together in harmonious ways to raise our children properly. I know life isn't all peaches and cream. In some families, like mine, my wife and I come from entirely different backgrounds. So, we're not going to try to see eye-to-eye on everything. However, sometimes the differences in our life-experiences are actually complimentary. And we both benefit from opening new doors that the other one has to offer.
Other times, our differences cause confusion, communication breakdowns, and hard times between us. Listen, we all have our own way of doing things, like loading the dishwasher, for example. Believe it or not, after all these years, my wife and I still can't agree on how to properly load that dang dishwasher. For the record, I still don't think my way is wrong. Hey, give it up for all the fathers out there loading dishwashers! Listen, to tell you the truth, the way we load the dishwasher really isn't that important. What's important is that we parents stick together as a team. Our kids need that kind of leadership and love in their lives.

Now, as my Granddaddy always said, "Go learn, lead and lay the way to a better world for all of us." Parents remember to work together. No matter what! Got it! If we do, we'll be a lot happier, and so will our kids. And once again parents, thanks in advance for all that you do, and all that you will do…
