Parents You Don’t Have the Luxury of Being Weak!
Parents, as parents, we don't have the luxury of just sitting back because we're scared or overwhelmed. We have to stand up for our kids!
Parents we all love our children. And that’s a fact. We all want the best for our children. And that’s a fact too. The fact that we love our children and want the best for them is one thing, I know for sure. You know what else I know for sure? As humans it’s only natural to have moments of weakness from time to time. But, when we do have a moment of weakness, we need to acknowledge it and vow to do better. If we don’t put an end to it right now or at least do better next time we could find ourselves headed down a very slippery slope of taking an occasional weak human behavior and forming it into a habit.
As parents we don’t have the luxury of taking the easy road. We cannot give in to our natural human tendencies of weakness and fear when we have kids in the picture. Our kids are counting on us to be strong, stable and wise. We can’t just allow the human habit of weakness to take over our lives, nor can we get so overwhelmed by it all that we start sticking our heads in the sand because we can’t bear the pain any more of seeing what is actually happening.
Every one of us has the capacity to be strong. We can be stronger than we ever imagined that we could be. Come on… We can all do this, and we can consistently do this. We just have to take the first step and recognize where we are being weak and then finally make up our minds that our kids need us and we can no longer have the luxury of being weak in this area.

Now, as my Granddaddy always said, ‘Go learn, lead, and lay the way to a better world for all of us.” Don’t be afraid to be strong! Believe it or not, being strong becomes very satisfying once we get used to it. And once again parents, thanks in advance for all that you do, and all that you will do…
