Parking Ban Announced In West Hartford
Snow is in the forecast for Saturday and officials announce a parking ban that will be in effect.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The Department of Public Works will institute a parking ban in West Hartford, beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 through 9 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 10. During a parking ban no on-street parking is allowed so that Public Works crews can remove snow from curb-to-curb. Cars left on the road create a safety hazard for all concerned. The owner will receive a fine and the car will be towed.
Officials are asking residents to take the parking ban seriously and make safe plans for your vehicle. Read more from the press release below:

Off-street neighborhood municipal lots are open for your convenience. We ask that cars park close together, meaning not to leave parking spaces between cars. This helps DPW clear snow efficiently. All residents using an off-street municipal lot must remove their cars by 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 10 or the car will be towed. Municipal parking garages and pay-to-park surface lots are also available. Pay-to-park fees do apply.
