Woman, 87, Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle: West Hartford PD: UPDATE
Local police Saturday morning identified the victim as an 87-year-old West Hartford woman
WEST HARTFORD, CT — An elderly woman has now died after being struck by a vehicle at a busy West Hartford intersection Friday evening.
The West Hartford Police Department said Saturday morning the victim, after initially being seriously injured, died as a result of injuries sustained from the motor vehicle collision.
Police have identified the woman as being 87-year-old Patricia Brulotte of West Hartford.

According to the West Hartford Police Department, local police and the West Hartford Fire Department were called to the area of Oakwood Avenue and Saint James Street at about 5:06 p.m.
Police said the collision involved a passenger vehicle and an adult pedestrian.

According to the WHPD at the time, the pedestrian had "apparent serious injuries" at the scene and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
The West Hartford Police Department Traffic Crash Reconstruction Team is actively investigating the collision.
During the investigation, Oakwood Avenue was closed between Seymour Avenue and Kane Street, and motorists had to take alternate routes. The area was closed to traffic for "several hours."
