Philip David Jewelers Celebrates 60 Years!

West Hartford, CT- Philip David Jewelers celebrates its 60th Anniversary with a party and a fond look back at the people and times that have supported the avant-garde jewelry store since 1954.

Current storeowner and daughter of Philip and Nathalie Rosin, Pamela describes growing up in the jewelry business. “I began working in my parents store when I was 13. This is my passion. Within me is an ingrained desire to deliver what our customers want offering well-crafted pieces at a variety of prices. Our customers return because the artists we work with offer timeless pieces inspiring them to showcase their individuality. Philip David doesn’t follow trends- we set them.”

Pamela’s enthusiasm and love of the business inspired her career as a gemologist and she has never looked back, working with her parents through the years first at their store at Bishop’s Corner and continuing the store’s legacy after their retirement.

Moving to its current location at 968 Farmington Avenue in West Hartford Center in the late 80s, Philip David Jewelers maintained and expanded upon its loyal client base. “Our clients are incredible! We owe our success to them recognizing how they share their Philip David experiences with family, friends, and even strangers who have a good eye for quality and beauty. I never tire hearing how clients receive complements on their jewelry at a dinner party or even in line at the grocery store. Men feel especially relieved knowing they will be transported effortlessly through the decision-making process. It’s a good feeling to watch the stress of holiday shopping and gift giving melt away from people!”

Philip David continues to build on its foundation of quality and dedication to excellence in customer service. Looking back on the success of the last 60 years, Pamela shares heartfelt gratitude for her parents, customers and staff. “It is wonderful that we have been able to grow together through the years. This store is an extension of my living room… What an honor it is to be of service to all of the people who come in to purchase jewelry, browse or just hang out with me and my incredible staff. There is always good conversation, a helping hand, a friendly opinion and unique, wearable jewelry designs to choose from.”
