Police Arrest 2 for Posing as Cable Workers, Stealing Packages in West Hartford
Police have charged two people with stealing packages after masquerading as cable workers.

WEST HARTFORD, CT - Police arrested two people Monday suspected of masquerading as cable company personnel to steal packages.
Police had received reports from a resident after they allegedly witnessed a package theft. The caller reported that two solicitors came to his house soliciting for a cable company without town issued solicitor’s badges, making him suspicious.
The town of West Hartford requires all door to door solicitors to have permits.

The caller observed them carrying packages, which he suspected they had just taken. Police later located the suspects, who were found to be in possession of stolen items from two different addresses.
Waterbury residents Justice Eugene Johnson, 24, and Deanna Naomi Gordon, 20, were processed and later released on $2500 non-surety bonds. They are scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 21.
