WEST HARTFORD, CT — A beloved local farmers market Sunday is, quite literally, going to the dogs as the Blue Back Farmers Market has dedicated the day to the "dog days of summer."
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, at West Hartford Town Hall, 50 S. Main St.
The "Dog Days" event will feature special guest Dog Star Rescue out of Bloomfield/Canton, which is a nonprofit dog rescue organization that places all sorts of abanondoned canines with good homes.

Event organizers are encouraging folks to bring their pups and enjoy some time on the nearby grassy green to help their pets avoid the pitfalls of hot asphault.
In addition to the usual array of locally-produced food products and crafts at the farmers market, the program will also feature a bit of entertainment, courtesy of "guitarist extraordinaire" Glenn Roth.
