UPDATE: Bomb Threat Causes Evacuation of West Hartford Jewish Community Center, Preschool
Police searched the Mandell JCC due to reports of a possible bomb threat. BREAKING

WEST HARTFORD, CT - A bomb threat Wednesday morning at The Mandell JCC caused an evacuation and a police search.
Preschool children were moved to the Hebrew Home while police searched the building. The building was checked and determined to be clear.
Staff and members were allowed to return to the buildng at around 10:30 a.m.

Police said the incident occurred while many other similar threats were called in to other JCC properties throughout the country.
JCC officials told police the threat came from a female sounding voice.

No injuries or damage was reported as a result of the incident. Police are currently investigating the situation and are in contact with other local, state and federal agencies.
