Want Your Child To Attend Pre-K In WeHa? What You Need To Know
The West Hartford School System is accepting applications for the pre-K lottery to fill limited slots.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Parents of West Hartford children have a key month ahead if they're interested in enrolling their youngsters in the newly expanded local pre-K program.
The deadline for preschool parents to apply is Friday, March 3, at 4 p.m.
The application process enrolls parents' children into a special lottery that will fill up slots at Webster Hill Elementary School's pre-K program, 125 Webster Hill Blvd.

In addition, the application process enrolls children for a lottery to determine who can attend pre-K at one of two magnet schools in town: Charter Oak International Academy, 425 Oakwood Ave., West Hartford, or the Florence E. Smith STEM School, 64 St. James St., West Hartford.
According to the West Hartford school system, the application process started Jan. 9, with parent information meetings already underway.

Webster Hill's parent info meeting was last week, while Smith STEM School's info meeting is/was Thursday, Feb. 2, at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting for Charter Oak is Thursday Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m.
All meetings are/were at their respective schools.
The deadline to get applications in to the school system is March 3, with the actual lottery results going out to parents March 22, with a March 29 deadline for parents to respond to being accepted.
From there, further registration is required by April 6 for accepted children, with those not acceped being put on a waiting list should any slots open up.
