Presidents Day Weekend In West Hartford, What You Need To Know
While town offices and schools will be closed in West Hartford, there's still plenty of fun stuff to do in town.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — As the state celebrates another holiday weekend, this time for Presidents Day, West Hartford officials have announced how that will impact town and school operations.
And while many facilities will be closed, those looking for something fun to do needn't fret. Those places will be open.
According to local officials, all municipal facilities, including West Hartford Town Hall, libraries, community centers and senior centers are closed on Monday, Feb. 20, in observance of the Presidents Day holiday.

Trash collection will remain on schedule with no delay.
Meanwhile, the Yard Waste & Recycling Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (annual permit required to dispose of items).

As for West Hartford Public Schools, they will be closed on Monday, Feb. 20, and Tuesday, Feb. 21, for the winter break.
Those looking for something to do on their days off can still skate, swim and hike.
Veterans Memorial Skating Rink will hold public skating sessions on Monday, Feb. 20, from 9:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 9:15 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Cornerstone Aquatics Center is also open.
"We strongly suggest checking our pool schedule and/or calling the front desk at 860-561-8270 to see when the best time for your visit is," wrote the town.
Finally, the Westmoor Park farm hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and park trails and grounds hours are open daily 8 a.m. to dusk.
