Rally For Women's Rights Planned In West Hartford
Area activists and leaders will gather at West Hartford Town Hall Saturday to march for the future of women's rights.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Area activists and community leaders will descend on West Hartford Saturday to rally for women's rights.
An "International Women's Day: The Unite & Resist" rally will be held on Saturday, March 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at West Hartford Town Hall's front lawn near the auditorium steps.

"The rally invites the public to unite against the chaos and express themselves in defending women’s rights, their bodies, and their future," event organizers wrote in an announcement.
The agenda includes a series of speakers, including Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, West Hartford Mayor Shari Cantor, and state Representatives Jillian Gilchrest, Kate Farrar, and Eleni Kavros-DeGraw, among other leaders.

West Hartford is one of 280 rallies nationwide listed on the rally platform.
Following the speeches, participants will march from West Hartford Town Hall (50 S. Main St.), and then along Farmington Avenue, Raymond Road, Memorial Road, and back to town hall.
