Ranking: West Hartford Best Place To Live In CT

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A national community ratings website says West Hartford is the best place to live in Connecticut, with the town Tuesday practically shouting that from the rooftops.

According to Niche.com, West Hartford is the top community in the state, saying so by citing the town's schools, family life, diversity, and nightlife as being top-notch.

Town officials posted the news of the rankings on its social media accounts.

Niche.com analyzes and ranks communities nationwide and is seen as a key tool used by professionals and students who may have to move across the country to study and/or work.

The rankings, released on Tuesday, show West Hartford's report card is enough to make any parent proud.

West Hartford, according to Niche.com, received an "A+" for its schools and family life offerings. It also received an "A" for nightlife and an "A-" for diversity.

Even the town's lower scores were good, with West Hartford getting a "B+" for housing and a "B" for crime and safety.

"Living in West Hartford offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents own their homes. In West Hartford there are a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks," wrote Niche.com about the large town of nearly 64,100.

"Many young professionals and retirees live in West Hartford and residents tend to be liberal. The public schools in West Hartford are highly rated."
