“Art is too important not to share.” -Romero Britto

As students nationwide process disappointment after disappointment this spring- from cancelled sports to postponed graduations- we must challenge ourselves to honor and acknowledge their accomplishments as much as possible. Please join me in congratulating Renbrook’s student entries for the 2019-2020 Our Work, Our Choice Exhibit. Student entries are selected by their peers.

Our Work, Our Choice is a cross-curricular, art and writing project for students who attend Renbrook, Kingswood Oxford, or Watkinson Schools in West Hartford, CT. Students submit one piece of artwork to be considered for entry into the final exhibit. Each school selects ten students to enter the exhibit through a student-based voting system. Whereas the final exhibit was cancelled due to the COVID19 crisis, we can virtually recognize and applaud these students for their talent and hard work. Please take a minute to visit Renbrook’s Virtual Exhibit to view the students’ entries into the 2019-2020 Our Work, Our Choice Exhibit and join me in congratulating the selected artists:

Renbrook School art teacher, May Stoffer is proud of not only these students, but all of her students at Renbrook who have displayed flexibility, resilience and a dedication to learning even from a distance, “Lucky for us, the art and woodworking students have been rising to the challenges of learning from a distance. They have been independently producing some truly impressive work using the materials that they have available at home. We are very happy to know that they are still motivated to spend their time being creative outside of the art classrooms.”

Renbrook School is an independent day school located on a beautiful 75-acre campus in West Hartford, CT, where faculty bring learning to life for all grade levels. Visit www.renbrook.org for more information.
