Road Closures Announced In West Hartford

Police announce several road closures and parking restrictions that will be in effect for a bicycle event on Sunday, Aug. 26.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Several road closures will be in effect due to the Center Streets bicycle event in West Hartford on Sunday, Aug. 26. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with road closures starting around 6 a.m.

Any car left on a closed street will be towed from the area starting at 6 a.m., according to police. Read more from the West Hartford Police Department below:

  • Farmington Avenue between Dale Street and South Main Street will be closed
  • South Main Street will be open to north bound traffic only between Farmington Avenue and Memorial Road. Southbound from Farmington to Memorial will be closed.
  • Lasalle Road between Arapahoe Road and Farmington Avenue closed
  • No Parking signs posted on residential streets: Ellsworth, North Side, from Four Mile to S Main close to event
