Road Closures Announced In West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Several road closures will be in effect due to the Center Streets bicycle event in West Hartford on Sunday, Aug. 26. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with road closures starting around 6 a.m.

Any car left on a closed street will be towed from the area starting at 6 a.m., according to police. Read more from the West Hartford Police Department below:

• Farmington Avenue between Dale Street and South Main Street will be closed
• South Main Street will be open to north bound traffic only between Farmington Avenue and Memorial Road. Southbound from Farmington to Memorial will be closed.
• Lasalle Road between Arapahoe Road and Farmington Avenue closed
• No Parking signs posted on residential streets: Ellsworth, North Side, from Four Mile to S Main close to event

Recommend Parking:

Free Parking is available at any on-street spaces that are not reserved or blocked off for the event.

Pay Parking hours of operations: Hours are posted on Town’s Parking webpage, each kiosk and at the entrance of Brace & TH lots.

The lot will resume service when roads are reopened after event is over
