WHPD Probes Wednesday Night Liquor Store Robbery
West Hartford police are asking the public for any information on the case.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police are investigating the hold-up of a West Hartford liquor store Wednesday night in which a suspect displayed a gun and made off with some cash.
According to a statement issued by West Hartford police late Thursday morning, an armed robbery was reported at about 8:55 p.m. at the Fairlawn Package Store, 101 Park Road.
Police said the robbery was called in by an employee of the store.

Responding officers set up a perimeter around the store, but it was believed the suspect had already fled the scene, according to the WHPD.
Police said the employee reported a suspect displayed a black handgun and threatened the person, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to police, the suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 30s, of average height and build.
Police said he was last seen wearing a black jacket and a black ski mask and was believed to have left the area in a gold-colored sedan.
The WHPD said the sedan may have had a damaged rear passenger side window.
The victim in this incident was not injured, police said.
