Scholar-in-Residence at Beth David Nov. 2-3

Rachel Sharansky Danzinger, daughter of "Refusnik" To Speak

Rachel Sharansky Danziger, daughter of former Soviet refusenik Natan Sharansky, who became an Israeli government official,will be Scholar-in-Residence at Beth David Synagogue in West Hartford Nov. 2-3. She will deliver a talk Friday night talk during a Shabbat dinner at the synagogue and again on Saturday morning after Sabbath services.

Her Friday night talk following 5:30 p.m. services, will touch on questions she grew up with as a product of the struggle within Soviet Jewry.

On Saturday, during a 12:30 p.m. Kiddush Luncheon presentation, she will explore "What We Can Learn From Story-telling," as she teaches the Biblical story of Isaac and Rebecca's first encounter.
