The Second City to Perform at UConn's White Coat Gala

Treat yourself to a black-tie night on the town! You don't want to miss this spectacular night celebrating UConn Health.

Join the fun at the 8th Annual White Coat Gala: Honoring Heroes and Healers on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. Get ready to laugh and celebrate UConn Health's campus expansion and the 30th anniversary of the nationally renowned Center on Aging.

An exclusive performance of "Game Night" by The Second City touring company will cap off an exciting evening that includes a game-themed cocktail reception and a silent auction. The Second City—the legendary comedy club and improv theater—launched the careers of such greats as Dan Aykroyd, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, and Bill Murray.

Three individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the field of aging will receive the Carole and Ray Neag Medal of Honor. Philanthropists Robert and Renee Samuels of West Hartford have made a difference in the lives of hundreds of patients through their support for clinical and outreach programs at the Center on Aging. Dr. George Kuchel, director of the center and The Travelers Chair in Geriatrics and Gerontology, is one of the nation's foremost researchers and physicians in geriatrics.
