See Anything Odd in the Sky Over West Hartford?
A meteorologist posted a video, seen below, of an odd sight he saw in the sky today — Friday, July 24.
Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan said he heard his dog Doppler barking loudly outside, looking up at the sky a little before noon.
“It took me a minute but then I saw this odd looking black tube floating in the sky,” he said. “Other people in West Hartford saw it too. Any idea what it was?”
Mike Smith responded to Hanrahan on Facebook and suggested it may have been a balloon.

“Yeah that’s what I think,” Hanrahan wrote. “It was weird that it just hovered and didn’t keep gaining altitude like helium balloons too. It lingered over town for about 30 minutes.”
Other suggestions were a blimp (vetoed as too big), a kite, a drone or ET.
