Stand On The Shoulders Of Giants!
Are you standing on the shoulders of GIANTS? You should be. Unsung heroes are all around us. Reach out with an open-mind and be coachable!
We are surrounded by Giants! I know this thought of being surrounded by giants may seem a bit scary, but no need to worry here. The Giants that I’m talking about are good Giants. These friendly Giants could be a local best-selling author, a leader of your community, your football coach, a head cheerleader, a teacher, or even your own parent, or sibling.
Friendly Giants come in all shapes and sizes, and places. Some are unsung heroes like your teacher or parent. Regardless of who they are, these friendly Giants are very unique in that they actually want to raise you up by helping you stand on their shoulders. They are not selfish or self-serving people. Believe it or not, they are actually interested in helping you succeed. So there it is; their giant shoulders are calling your name. So, you might as well hop up there and get a better view of the path you are about to travel down in this journey called life.
Hey, life is not easy. There are many forks in the road. Some of these forks are so small that we don’t initially notice them, but they are there, regardless of how subtle or insignificant they may seem at the time. So, if we are going to have all these individual choices in life that we must sometimes painstakingly make and take, wouldn’t it make sense for us to take a stand on the shoulders of Giants and let them carry us through and above most of the havoc in life? And when it’s no longer possible to be carried any further, well then, at least from the higher vantage point we will have a better view of what’s coming up and hopefully be more thoughtful about those forks in the road and where they may lead us.
