State Legislator Charged With DUI in West Hartford
He was charged with his second DUI offense early Saturday morning on I-84 in West Hartford.

WEEST HARTFORD, CT — State Representative David Alexander of Enfield was charged early Saturday with his second operating under the influence offense, the Hartford Courant reported.
Alexander, 35, was stopped on Interstate 84 in West Hartford around 1:45 a.m. He was charged with operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol, failure to carry a certificate of registration or insurance and failure to drive in proper lane, the Courant said.
Nearly a year and a half ago, Alexander was arrested on similar charges in Windsor Locks. Those charges were dismissed when he completed an alcohol education program.

Alexander is nearing the end of his second term as Enfield's representative in the 58th District of the Connecticut General Assembly.
