Stormy Weather Forecast Postpones Movie Night In West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT — With the potential for rain and thunderstorms in the forecast for Wednesday, the Friends of Fern Park have decided to move their annual Movie Night to Thursday, Aug. 23. The second Movie Night at Fernridge Park, 567 Fern St. in West Hartford, features "The Bad News Bears" (PG, 1976) with Walter Matthau and Tatum O'Neal. Activities will begin at 7:15 p.m. but officials advise that you come earlier if you want to enjoy a picnic dinner and claim your ideal spot on the lawn.

The movie will be shown at 8 p.m. along the south pool fence. The event is free and open to all.

“We have entertainment and concession style popcorn to pass the time before the movie starts around 8 p.m.,” according to the event post on Facebook. “This event is FREE thanks to the generosity of Jeff Brand/State Farm, Wendy Smith from the Robin Gebrian team at William Raveis and Nadia Kachwaha from Coldwell Banker.
