West Hartford's 'Halloween Stroll,' What You Need To Know

Costumed children of all ages are invited to businesses participating in the annual 'Halloween Stroll,' which is Saturday.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford is the place to be Saturday when it comes to fun, families and good-old fashioned Halloween revelry.

That's because costumed children of all ages are invited for a fun morning in West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square for the annual Halloween Stroll on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Rain Date: Sunday, Oct. 30).

"Little ghouls and goblins (and princesses and heroes, too) are welcome to Trick-or-Treat at participating merchants," reads an announcement posted by event organizers.

This event, however, will not just feature candy and trick-or-treating.

There will be live music, giveaways, mascots, balloon artists, candy and more.

Meanwhile, Sunny Train will be performing live in Blue Back Square, 65 Memorial Road.

All participating retailers are located on Farmington Avenue, South Main Street, LaSalle Road, Memorial Road and Isham Road.

Meanwhile, West Hartford Town Hall's front will feature fun activities and more treats.

Participating retailers will have a sign on their door indicating participation and candy will be available while supplies last.

This event draws thousands of people, so visitors are urged to give themselves extra time to secure a parking spot.

Parking is available at town hall, in the garages on Isham Road, Memorial Road and the Town Center building on South Main Street, as well as the municipal lots on Brace Road and LaSalle Road. Parking fees apply.

Isham Road, from Memorial Road to New Street, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for this special event.

The Halloween Stroll is produced in collaboration with Moms & More Club of West Hartford, Town of West Hartford, Blue Back Square and West Hartford Center Business Association.
