Adult Seriously Hurt In Stabbing By Teen: WeHa Police
A 16-year-old juvenile is in police custody following a stabbing in West Hartford Monday night.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police Tuesday confirmed they have a teenaged suspect in custody following a stabbing incident on Federal Street Monday night.
According to the West Hartford Police Department, the 16-year-old was charged with: criminal attempt to commit murder; first-degree assault; and disorderly conduct.
Police said the suspect, whose gender or name were not released, was being held by juvenile detention officials.

According to the WHPD, officers were called to a Federal Street residence for "an apparent stabbing incident."
Police said when officers arrived, they immediatelly began medical care to the adult victim.

West Hartford Fire Department paramedics and American Medical Response ambulance personnel then arrived once the scene was secured by police.
Police said the victim was taken to the hospital for serious neck injuries and is in stable condition.
According to police, the 16-year-old suspect does not live at the residence.
"This continues to be a very active investigation by the West Hartford Police Department Detective Division and no further information will be released at this time," police wrote.
