Three Bears Take a Dip in West Hartford Pool

You know how every summer people say it’s definitely hotter than the last? If the behavior of bears is any indication, they might be on to something.

We’re used to bears flocking to feeders, like this bear did in Shelton. But lately, we’ve been seeing bears plunging into pools.

Deb McKeon and Carl Merz took a photograph of three bears clamoring out of a West Hartford pool after a swim and shared it with a local meteorologist.

“After snacking on birdseed and apples, this mama bear and her two cubs cooled off with a dip in this West Hartford pool,” Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan said via Facebook.
