WEST HARTFORD, CT — A single letter makes all the difference regarding a major fundraiser for the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society.

Add in an "L" and the event is an apocalyptic tale of an alien invasion that nearly destroys the planet.

But, thankfully, the event is called "War of the Words," an appropriate name for an event benefiting an organization named for the father of the modern dictionary.

At 6:30 p.m. that night, guests can partake in wine-tasting, and blues music, and be the studio audience for the "game show," which starts at 7 p.m.

This component is limited to 100 guests and tickets are expected to go fast.

For those not able to attend, but still wanting to donate to the museum/historical society, "War of the Words" has a virtual component.

This includes both an online auction as well as virtual access to watch the game show live via a stream.
