Tickets On Sale Now For Major West Hartford Historical Society Fundraiser
The Noah Webster House and West Hartford Historical Society will host its annual 'Webster's War of the Words' on May 14.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The Noah Webster House and West Hartford Historical Society will host its annual “Webster’s War of the Words” fundraiser on May 14 at the Garden Room in Elizabeth Park in Hartford/West Hartford.
And tickets are on sale now.
Organizers said the event will feature a team-based trivia competition focused on language, history, and local knowledge.

Participants can register individually or in teams of up to eight.
Peter Sokolowski, editor-in-chief of Merriam-Webster, will serve as master of ceremonies, leading teams through multiple rounds of questions.

Prizes will be awarded to top-scoring teams at the end of the competition.
The fundraiser will also include a meal prepared by the Pond House Café, with hors d’oeuvres, pasta, entrees, dessert, and beverages, including beer and wine.
An online auction will run before, during, and after the event.
Proceeds from the event support the historical society’s programs and operations.
Organizers encourage attendees to form teams in advance or register individually to be assigned to a group.
