Tree Work In West Hartford To Close Roads Next Week
Tree removal operationswill require a temporary road closure starting Monday evening, affecting traffic in town.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Tree removal operations are scheduled to begin on Farmington Avenue in West Hartford on the evening of Monday, Feb. 16.
The work is expected to take place from 7 p.m. that day to 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
These operations will impact the western block of Farmington Avenue, specifically the section located between Walden Street and LaSalle Road.

During this period, Farmington Avenue will be closed to all traffic.
To manage the flow of vehicles and pedestrians, police officers and traffic flaggers will be stationed on site.

Their presence is intended to ensure safety and guide commuters around the work zone.
Following the completion of work on the western block, tree removal will then shift to the eastern block of Farmington Avenue.
This subsequent phase will cover the area from LaSalle Road to North/South Main Street.
A specific date for this second phase has not yet been confirmed.
Authorities plan to distribute an additional notification to the public once the schedule for the eastern block's tree removal is finalized.
Residents and commuters are advised to plan alternative routes during the scheduled closure on Feb. 16-17.
