Turn That Empty Wine Bottle Into Art At West Hartford Program

WEST HARTFORD, CT — If you have an empty wine bottle hanging around the house, the West Hartford Public Library has a way to allow you to use it for something other than as a weapon.

Instead, the library's virtual wine bottle paint night program will guide you to transform that prior container of nectar into a glass canvas to showcase your newfound artistic skills.

The program is via Zoom on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 6:30 p.m.

It will feature Lindsey Hottin of Lindsey's Craft Studio, a Connecticut-based online art instructor.

At Wednesday's free program, guests will learn how to paint a cardinal on a tree branch in the winter.

Participants have to provide the paint and wine bottles, but Hottin will provide the instruction and, when complete, something destined for the recycling bin will be transformed into something belonging on display.

Registration can be done online and those participating will receive Zoom link information upon signing up.
