Two New WeHa Firefighters Report For Duty This Week

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford's bravest grew by two with the recent completion of firefighter training by two West Hartford Fire Department probationary firefighters.

West Hartford Firefighters Union Local 1241 announced over the weekend that David Holmes and Adam Horne have completed training from the Connecticut Fire Academy's recruit program.

"The CFA Recruit Program is a challenging 16-week program enforcing the entry-level fundamentals of firefighting, hazardous materials and specialty rescue," wrote the union las Saturday.

This week, both are officially on the job in West Hartford and will get down to work, according to the union.
